I met up with Ginger and Tyler on the morning of the Cherry Blossom 10 mile race. We met on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC. Wow, there were a lot of people out before 7:00 am! It was an absolutely beautiful morning for engagement photos. Lots of other photographers and their clients were out and about hoping to get some beautiful photographs before the crowds descended. Ginger and Tyler were a lot of fun and happy to get a little silly. We also managed to get a few shots for submission to the New York Times Engagement session – eyes lined up perfectly per the Times requirements (not shown here). Since the session was part of the package, I was lucky enough to look forward to shooting their July 4th wedding at River Farm.

I’m so envious! I travel to DC several times a year (non-wedding jobs), but I did have the opportunity once to shoot one of my couples there. You’re lucky to have such beautiful scenic spaces to work with all the time!

But Michael, you must have semi-warm weather to work with down there. Where exactly in LA are you?
